Treherne House & The Malvern Retreat are past Winners of the Visit Worcestershire "Best Bed and Breakfast in Worcestershire" and were Visit Britain 4Star Gold Award Winners. The property is an instantly impressive and beautifully presented late 19th century former Gentlemans' Residence. We are also highly praised for our excellent levels of cleanliness. We are currently rated 9.8 out of 10 on Booking.com. In 2023 we were awarded our "GREEN MARK" for sustainable tourism.
Mark & Alexandra Soden are also Les Routiers Award Winning Proprietors who have owned and managed serviced accommodation for over 20 years and have been one of a handful of B&B's in the UK to feature in The Michelin Guide.
Treherne House is perfectly situated on the sunny side of The Malvern Hills in a quiet location in the heart of Worcestershire. We offer wonderfully comfortable & stylish ensuite accommodation in this Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Our beautiful south facing guest garden is a real suntrap and there is plenty of cushioned seating for everybody with super views to the Malvern Hills. The Malvern Retreat Coach House was a previous winner of the best Self-Catering Property in Worcestershire with Destination Worcestershire.
BREAKFAST
Our delicious breakfasts have won the Visit Britain Great British Breakfast Award for many years. We use the finest local ingredients including free range eggs, Gloucester Old Spot Sausages and traditional Smoked Bacon from Paul, our fabulous butcher at Barnards Green Butchers.
Breakfast is served in our Dining Room overlooking the pond and gardens and there is a good choice of alternatives should you not wish to sample the "full works". Ask for one of Mark's famous omelettes which have a cult following with regulars. At our previous establishment in Windermere, 1 Park Road, our B&B was one of only a handful in the UK that was featured in the prestigious Michelin Guide.
BEERS, WINES and SPIRITS
We run an informal honesty bar here at Treherne House and we always stock a good selection of wines, spirits and beers including local Craft Ales. So why not enjoy a pre-dinner drink or treat yourself to an afternoon tipple in our lovely guest garden looking up to the hills.
